Boddingtons Pub Ale

Brewer: InBev UK Limited

Location:  Luton, England

Interesting Marketing Gimmick: The “Draughtflow” system used for Boddingtons uses a pressurized insert(beer widget) in the can that releases nitrogen gas that creates millions of tiny bubbles when the can is opened and poured producing the perfect draft-style creamy head every time.

Alcohol Percentage:   4.7%

Survey says: The best thing about this beer is the creamy head produced by the internal beer widget. It is amazing. The beer itself is rather bland with very little hops or bitterness flavors. It could be described as having a mild, soft and smooth flavor. The panel deemed it highly drinkable with one panelist saying that they could drink a pitcher of this light, flat brew. It was refreshing and one that we would definitely try again. If nothing else you should try a can of this blandly foamy brew just to see the magical widget do its thing.
